Did we go for a drive in lovely unspoilt countryside yesterday? Well, we certainly went for a long drive....but ended up driving through the centre of Taunton, it being Saturday it was practically gridlocked traffic. We then finished up in a big retail park near the motorway....again, being Saturday, it was heaving. Don't ask, not my choice!!! Betty was not impressed, she doesn't like long drives, heavy traffic and very busy crowded places anymore than I do. We then went home (which was my choice). And the less said about that little outing, the better. Sometimes I just feel like screaming.
Today I'm going to get rid of my frustrations by giving my bedroom a thorough vacuuming. Husband normally does the hoovering - on a less than regular basis - which means only the middle of the rooms ever gets done 🙄
I'll do a bit of decluttering as well.

Even if you know Taunton it's a nightmare to drive through, I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteI drive in London - not good for the temper or for the nerves! 😬 and I'm right with you on hating busy traffic. I only use the car when I have too, though, and most of the time I use public transport (not possible in most rural areas, I know...)

Oh dear. Definitely doesn't sound like a fun drive out. I avoid shopping on Saturday nowadays for all the reasons that you've mentioned.
