The 2nd Ocado delivery was just as satisfactory as the first - on time, friendly helpful driver and the shopping was perfect, no substitutions, missing items or damages. I've had food shopping deliveries a number of times over the years, from all the major supermarkets - Ocado is the best, in my experience.
Husband wasn't speaking to me yesterday afternoon (long story), he thought he was punishing me by not talking to me. He didn't seem to realise though that it was a bonus as far as I was concerned - he wasn't bending my ears for hours ๐. Back to normal today though, he's been going on and on already about a new mattress for his bed. I'm hardly even awake yet! ๐
He keeps coming out with all these ideas for changes in the garden next year. As he changes his mind every day, and will no doubt have forgotten about them by next year anyway, I'm not taking too much notice. I do keep having to remind him though that we're not getting any younger, in fact we'll both be a year older so will want less work and an easier to manage garden.
Oh, yes, a bit of peace and quiet is lovely. Our TV is on all the time when my husband's awake. He'll watch any old rubbish and constantly flicks between channels. Sometimes I'm tempted to cut off the plug!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to simplify our garden, too. I no longer want to spend lots of time maintaining it. I want to sit in it and read or have a coffee. I remember Geoff Hamilton saying "Don't forget to sit and enjoy your garden, without feeling guilty that you're not doing something." That's MY style of gardening! xx
That made me chuckle. It must have been bliss all that peace and quiet.
ReplyDeleteSnap…today is the alarm clock! June x
ReplyDeleteI had to smile at your reaction to Hubby not speaking to you. I can imagine the peace and quiet soothed your soul.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
