I forgot to mention yesterday that sister, friend, husband and I went to the Blue Anchor boot sale on Saturday afternoon. Sis and friend got a few things, I pounced on a bagful of chunky yarn balls in lovely shades of purple and lilac, I think I might have a go at making myself a winter cardigan once I've found a suitable pattern online.
Friend witnessed our signatures on the POA forms and I sent them off yesterday, so that's that job out of the way.
I also forgot to say that they all came round to us for breakfast on Monday morning, before leaving to go home. They all got home safely, with no dramas, breakdowns or major traffic problems.
I'm getting back into the swing of eating healthily, we had feta pasta salad for lunch yesterday, sweet chilli chicken and veg with brown rice for dinner. Today I'm having veg sticks with homemade tzatziki dip for lunch, not sure about dinner yet but there's some roast chicken left, so perhaps a salad. Must get round to doing a meal plan.
I never had hayfever before we moved down here to Somerset, but have had it every year since, some years it's worse than others. This year is a bad one, my nose is alternately blocked and drippy, eyes are so itchy I could scratch them out, ears and sinuses are blocked and I'm having sneezing fits. So it's off to the chemist this morning to get all the supplies they have in stock 😂. It's definitely not a cold, I feel fine.
Regarding the cardigan, have a look at the Campfire cardigan (Make and Do Crew). It's a hexagon cardigan, and very customisable. I've made a couple. There are so many lovely patterns out there, I'm sure you'll find one to suit!
ReplyDeleteI don't get hay fever (yet!) but my husband does and my son gets it very badly. I do sympathise. It's awful that we wait ages for some decent weather, then people want to stay indoors because of hay fever. It's not fair! xx
Husband gets Hayfever in Spain. He finally agreed to take the tablets after I marched him into a pharmacy and was buying yet more Kleenex. Pharmacist looked at him and waved the box at him. It worked. The runny eyes and constant sniffing would wear down a saint.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that hay fever has hit you. Hope you feel better soon with the help of the chemist.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
