Anxiety through the roof

Last night I had an absolutely awful night, even by my standards, I probably only had 2 hours sleep in total.  My anxiety levels are through the roof right now.  I know my feelings are irrational, but there's nothing I can do about that, it's not like I do it deliberately or have any control over it.  I know also that others have far worse things to cope with and my problems are nothing really, I'm aware that at least one person of my acquaintance definitely thinks I have nothing to worry about.  I've now doubled my anxiety meds - previously I wasn't taking the maximum amount my GP said I could take, now I am.  Hopefully that will help.

We've managed to get a last minute special offer deal on a week at our favourite caravan park in Devon, starting Easter weekend.  It'll mean keeping a tight rein on our budget and cutting down on things for the next few weeks/months, but if we don't get away soon, i.e. this month, then there's no telling when we'll be able to go, what with husband's and mum's health stuff.  And I don't think my nerves can stand staying around with all the building works going on indefinitely.

I might not post much for a while....nobody wants to listen to me moaning all the time anyway!

You post whenever you want/need to or like - it's your blog and your content, my dear.
I'm so glad you have a short holiday booked. That will be really nice to look forward to.

  3. I have read all your blogs and feel for you, this is your blog and an opportunity to voice your feelings which can often be the help you need. I often find that hearing/reading my worries seems to be just what's need to help.Ignore the unhelpful comments and carry on there are more understanding people than you think Su

  4. This is your blog Sooze, you're writing for you and this is where you can let off steam. If any of your readers don't like it that's just tough and they can always skip that entry.

Glad you'll be able to have a week off and re-charge your batteries.

  5. Me too. Last night was just awful. I'm minding my granddaughter today for twelve hours. I don't know how I shall cope!
Hope you feel better soon. The holiday will do you good. X

  7. On the contrary, I think its probably a good thing to write down how you feel. I've been in your shoes with worry etc and its not nice and others who have not experienced this will not understand.
It will do you good to go away and see things from afar, they will come more into perspective and when you come home you will cope better. Enjoy your break and I hope it does you good. Hugs

  8. Sending hugs and good vibes. I started blogging because I didn't have anyone to talk to, and it has led me to amazing friends and wonderful people, through some very dark days. Don't worry about being bored. Worry (if that's the right word) about getting yourself to a good place. More hugs.

  13. Have a grand time and have a good old moan whenever you need to. It is good to get things off your chest, keeping them locked in does so much harm. You can always write a long comment to me and I will read and delete if you like. I feel for you both.
