It's been a busy morning of phone calls and texts already, and it's only just gone 9 am. The car hire people to say they're coming to collect the car this morning, the dealer we bought the new one from arranging to deliver it later on today. And 2 calls from the GP surgery, one to give me the appointment for my referral to the chest pain clinic at the big hospital, next Thursday, the other for the 24-hour heart monitor - 27 November (GP did tell me there's a waiting list). My blood results are in - no heart failure and no signs of under (or over) active thyroid, so that's all good. There's still the slow heart rate, palpitations and chest tightness, but I'm really of the opinion that - certainly the palpitations and tightness - are down to stress and anxiety. And I don't think the slower than normal heart rate is much to be concerned about, although of course I'm not a doctor.
I actually slept fairly well last night, got off to sleep quite quickly and think I only woke up twice, and didn't lie awake for hours, I went back off fairly easily. Woke up for a wee at about 05.15 and knew there was no chance of getting back to sleep, so just got back in bed cuddling the dog and reading the paper on my phone.
Got a few things to do today, including a couple of jobs earmarked for husband. I'm quite looking forward to the new car getting here, it's a really nice looking and comfortable car and, being a sort of SUV/MPV thing (I don't really know what the difference is, and am not interested enough in cars to find out!) it's taller than a normal car, so easier to get in and out of with my dodgy hips and back. It's a lovely deep teal green colour - colour is quite important in a car isn't it?! ๐๐
Edited to add:-
The crisis I mentioned a week or so ago has been resolved, to our satisfaction. So that's another worry to cross off the list.
Lovely colour!
ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear the blood tests were normal. Stress and anxiety, particularly over a sustained period, can produce all sorts of nasty symptoms so you may well be right about the cause. The new car sounds lovely and that type of car gives you a good view of the road ahead, being higher up.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, definitely! If anyone asked me what a particular car was, I'd say its colour not make, as I can't tell one from t'other! I'm glad there seems to be nothing (seriously) wrong health wise. As you say, the symptoms are probably down to stress. I think bradycardia is generally considered good, unless it's VERY slow, after all, athletes have slow heart rates๐, but best to get it checked, to put your mind at rest. xx
ReplyDeleteOh well I must be an athlete then (she says, laughing her head off!!) xx
DeleteI have a vision of you and me in Lycra - not a nice sight (well in my case at least!) Glad the crisis has been resolved. One less worry. xx
DeleteA good colour is VITAL in the choosing of a car. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's the first thing I always ask my older son when he changes his car is what colour is it, it really winds him up! He's car obsessed and always has been, and goes through at least 3 a year.
It seems everything is moving along nicely with the doctors for you, and its nice that you've also got the Carers support now.
Good that all maintenance was kept up and recorded, it sounds like one I looked at online...good for you . I must say , except for the aggravation this couldn't have worked out better for you.
ReplyDeleteMy heart slowed way down on one EEG and I had to wear a monitor for a bit.... It showed nothing wrong. Heck I was tired when the first test was done and almost fell asleep while they were doing it. I am glad all your other tests came back as not being a problem.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Glad you're alright...maybe those are anxiety attacks?
ReplyDeleteGreen cars are nice!
hugs
Donna
Glad the crisis got marked off the list!
ReplyDeleteSo very glad some things need to be settling down, the crisis is no more and the car looks good. Anxiety could very well be a cause of the heart stuff. xx
