A flame thrower!

Husband has a flame thrower, I don't know what the real name is....it's a gas powered long wand thing that he uses to burn off weeds in the garden (what is it with men and fire? Must bring out their inner caveman 🙄).  As he's quite careless with it, he's often scorched some of my plants and wooden fence panels in the process.

On Monday I decided we'd defrost the big upright freezer that's in the car port, there wasn't too much in it, just enough to fit in our big coolbox.  With it being a hot day, switched off and with the door open I knew it wouldn't take long to defrost.  You know what I'm going to say, don't you - a short while later I caught husband using his flame thrower inside the freezer to speed up the ice melting 🤬🤬.  He soon stopped!

Honestly, sometimes I'm just flabbergasted by some of the crazy things his brain thinks up.  Can't leave him alone for 5 minutes 😡

  9. A former boss of mine tried to speed up the defrosting of the office fridge by placing the electric kettle inside it switched on with a weight on the on/off switch to keep it boiling merrily for 20 minutes when it boiled itself dry.
The company secretary told him off so loudly he retired to his room for the rest of the morning.

  10. I never heard of such a tool. Seems to me that it needs to mysteriously disappear! The harm it might do exceeds any possible good. This reminded me of the time I found my "Old Man" turning our edger/weed eater on its side and using it to trim tall bushes. I barely saved the bushes. And having that fast-moving string could have been lethal for him.
Tough times you are going through. I know...... Hugs.

  11. I kind of giggled, because I think that if Harvey had a tool like that he just might have tried the same thing. I think I just may be glad that he does not own one of those.

    God bless.

  12. I think you should hide it then suddenly find it when you can be with him burning the weeds.
