Thank you for comments, lovely supportive bloggy friends as always.
Impossible to sleep last night, too muggy and head full of stuff (why do things always seem worse at night?). Hips are a bit better today so that's a positive.
Betty's had 2 more ticks, horrid things, so the natural herbal tablets aren't working. So we've had to go back to the vet for a supply of the drug ones, the vet said there's an explosion of ticks this year. This dog costs us a small fortune, it's a good job we love her to bits.
Have just made 9 days worth of dog food, and a beetroot, feta and salad veg bulgur wheat bowl for lunch. Sliced all the veggies for the frittata we're having with salad and spicy wedges for dinner. And that's it, I'm doing nothing for the rest of the day, it's too hot.
It really is. Definitely taking it easy and staying as cool as possible is an essential.
ReplyDeleteOh, Betty!!!!
xx
Horrible ticks, but the treatment should work quickly. It certainly is hot today. Just seen loads of people off to the beach. They must be mad! There's no shade there. There's going to be a lot of burnt people coming back later. I just hope they keep their distance or sunburn could be the least of their worries! Just planning on sitting inside, with the French windows wide open and the fan on. Stay safe and cool. xx
ReplyDeleteIt's way too hot for me today. Thankfully it will cool down tomorrow. We close the bedroom blinds each morning to stop the sun heating the bedroom. The bedroom fan just seems to move hot air around the room
ReplyDeleteAt least with Betty's short coat you can see the ticks easily.
ReplyDeleteGemma does not like to have them picked off her,so we went with the usual thing from before medication.
Last year the herbal stuff worked on her as well for both ticks and fleas.
Ticks are awful-last October I found one half buried in my tummy-I had been walking in hills wearing trousers, coat and waterproof trousers. It was removed at a hospital and took tablets and had 2 Lyme tests but apparently the test is not very reliable x
