No more blogging

Thank you all (well, nearly all) for the lovely comments on my last post, however, this is to say that I won't be blogging anymore.  A really spiteful comment (which I didn't publish) has put paid to that.

I know I shouldn't be bothered by a bit of nastiness from someone I don't know and who clearly doesn't know me, but it did bother me.  Even though they were completely and utterly wrong in everything they said (just shows they don't know me at all).

We have lots going on, I don't write everything about my life on my blog - I'm not that stupid!  In view of how low I'm feeling, both physically and mentally, I don't want to read poisonous bile designed to kick me in the guts.  What people get out of doing that I really don't know, I guess it says a lot about them.

Thank you everyone for being so supportive and kind to me over the time I've been blogging, I shall continue to read all your blogs.

  1. Very sad post to read, I have always felt blogging was such a supportive thing to do. I know there are trolls about, but mostly lovely supporting people.

  4. So sorry to hear you're no longer going to blog, but you need to concentrate on your and hubby's health. I don't know why some people feel it's OK to say nasty things, especially through the anonymity of the internet. Such sad people. Take care, and I sincerely hope you get some relief from your troubles soon. Wish I lived close enough to give you a hug! Virtual hugs will have to do. xx

  6. I'm so sorry to read this, although I can understand why. Have you thought about making your blog private? That way you could continue without the worry of any unwelcome comments. X

  7. Best to stop blogging if you don’t feel up to it. You could not allow anonymous comments and if things get too bad, disable comments altogether. I know many people who blog that way.

  8. OH Sooze, nooooo. Please don't let these nasty people upset you to the point where you stop blogging. I know how you feel, I had some a while back and they kept going over in my mind but I deleted them. 'Going Gently' has a lot of these trolls but keeps trucking and if we all decided to stop blogging because of a few nasty individuals it would be sad. Take a break but come back to us, I and a lot of others will miss you. XXXXXXX

  14. I understand why you've decided to stop blogging, Sooze, although we shall all miss you. Perhaps when you're feeling better, you'll feel like coming back? In the meantime, look after yourself, sending a big hug xx

  15. That's a shame!
Maybe if you published their comments to sort of name & shame! Sometimes, although anonymous, such trolls are sometimes recognisable - IP addresses, etc. I hope you feel like coming back soon.

  16. Don't let some small minded troll upset you Sooze, have a rest and a break and come back when you're feeling better - till then, take good care of yourself and I hope everything improves for you and your Hubby soon xx

  17. I think you should leave the posts up. Sometimes by the wording, we know who the troll is. A few of us figured out who one frugal troll was. She's since gone dormant.

  20. I've only just seen this, sorry. Oh, Sooze, how can anyone be so spiteful. It's not a comparison situation at all.
I will so miss your entries but your health (physical, mental and emotional) has to come first, without a doubt.
    Much love.
